Sitting Here Thinking
  by Jonathan Danker
November 21, 2002

Sitting Here Thinking that rain makes my day,

A button is pushed & the staff does obey.

White with 2 sugars but it comes to me black,

Guess one of these 3 is that milk in a pack.

A short girl near me with jeans that are long,

Is drawn to her bag by a chart topping song.

Sittiing Here Thinking that mobiles are cool,

And that queen's still exist but who do they rule.

Breathing in causes a glow from my fingers,

Slow breath out and the seductive smoke lingers.

The prices of vices are high they can kill,

Arrogant or accepting I add to my bill.

Sitting Here Thinking that signs can be funny

And life is quite simple with 3 kinds of money.

Feeling peckish and crave for real food,

The stuff here is good but im not in the mood.

Bap, kimchi and kim makes me think,

You can lead a "hor-to-culture" but you can’t make her drink.

Sitting Here Thinking that life can be tricky,

And that polar neck's are popular but what about hickies.

Stable the table the looks up at me,

Lessons cost something but mistakes come for free.

Running from something to come to this land,

Most I have met follow the same plan.

Sitting Here Thinking its night where you are,

And that music is good and that distance is far.

I want to be drunk and fall fast asleep,

And wake with a smile and no shoes on my feet.

Sun is a day that is no friend of mine,

But over here it’s a good day to hide.
