BROTHER'S BAR AND GRILL
phone: 721-5589
[owned by Gus Swanda, manager and chief cook, an English professor at Pusan University of Foreign Studies]
They are open from 12pm to 1am Sunday to Thursday and 12 to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Lunch is served from 12pm to 3:30 (somewhat less than the full menu). The kitchen closes at 10:30pm, but there is a limited menu until they close. They have take out right now but no delivery yet.
Great Western food, including vegetarian. (some dishes found nowhere else in Busan) [gumbo, lasagna, home made ice-cream shakes]. They are located on Mipo street in Haeundae, one building down from The Sunset Lounge and in the basement of the DalMaji Hotel (under its Sign, as featured in the movie Haeundae).
Best way to describe it if you are walking, go down the beach boardwalk past the Novotel and Paradise and past all til you get to a three way intersection.
(the complex of restaurants where the tour-boat docks) Look to your left (up the street) and you should see the yellow sign underneath the Dalmaji Hotel Sign. They are in the basement, next to the On Yang Pulgogi house.
Directions for neopusanites: take the #2 subway line to Jung dong, exit the Emart exit. Walk towards (and past) the overpass until you get to McDonald's. Across from McDonald's is a 5 way intersection take the first right at the intersection and walk towards the sea. It's just past the railroad tracks on the left. Big orange hotel sign, DalMaji Hotel. (10 - 15 minute walk? minimum-fare cab ride.)
Tomorrow night (8/21) from 8 PM will be the first "Mexican Food night", an all-you-can eat buffet. Burritos, Tacos, Quesadillas, Nachos, etc.. 20,000 won. Frozen Margaritas are featured.
To make sure that there will be enough food for you, please call tonight or tomorrow afternoon and let us know how many are coming.

Friday Nights is Mexican Buffet Night at Brother's Bar and Grill!!!
A brand new restaurant in Busan with North American cuisine. Working in the restaurant biz in Chicago for several years, I learned I was very spoiled in regard to my dining choices. I have lived in Pusan for eight years, and was here in the days when there was only a handful of McDonald's. I love Korean food and Pusan culinary is quite unique, but I found myself longing for the foods and tastes so readily available in the states. So my brother(in-law) and I decided to make a place where people from North America could find dishes that they were used to and that taste the way they are supposed to. Dishes like Lasagna, Fettucini Alfredo, Chili and Gumbo served with Cornbread, Milk Shakes and Homade Ice Cream, and several original dishes ~all made from scratch. We wanted to eat a pizza that had a slightly crispy golden brown crust. People who have lived in North America know what I'm talking about. Being born and raised in the Chicago Area has made it hard for me to kick the meat habit, but we have several dishes and options for you vegetarians.
Our overall goal is value. Sure, there are some big restaurants that serve some similar foods to us, but they make it cost prohibitive for someone (like myself) on an English teacher's salary to eat there often. So we want you to be able to enjoy a great meal at a good price.
We are working on a website, but in the meantime we would like to use this forum and our email brothersbg@gmail to get input from you the customer. We will address as many of your concerns as humanly possible to make your dining experience at Brother's a memorable and frequent one. This is a new kind of business for all of us and we want to grow with the expat community here.
On Friday nights from 8pm to 2pm, we offer a Mexican Buffet: all you can eat Burritos, Quesadillas, Tacos, and Nachos for 20,000 won. And of course we will have frozen Margaritas (big glass) for $5.00. This week's flavors are Mango, Strawberry and the traditional lime flavored. Please suggest other flavors as I enjoy the challenge.
Bon apetit!

Hey Busan!
Brother's Bar and Grill's first Mexican Buffet Night was a success! But I think I can make it easier for everyone to come on down to Brother's and give us a try. We are now doing Mexican buffet (Burritos, Quesadillas, Tacos, Nachos and more)on Thursday. EVERY THURSDAY from 6 to close (2am). Also, we lowered the price to 12,000won which includes a Free Frozen Margarita~! We also have 3,000 won shots (4 for 10,000) and Frozen Margaritas (Mango or Lime) for 5,000 Won.
