There is a welcome new addition to the ever growing Kyung Sung Dae nightlife, Kebabs! And proper ones at that!
For those that have been to Itaeweon in Seoul, you will probably be familiar with the kebab vans on the streets around there. Well one of the guys has decided to try his luck in Busan and will be outside Family Mart, the one near Vinyl Underground, every Friday and Saturday night.
When I say the genuine article I mean they have the proper mint yogurt dressing, the meat (chicken) is nicely marinated and you get lettuce, tomato, onion and cucumber as your vegetables. As well as the option of chilli sauce if you like it.
They also have the option of the tomato, barbecue and honey mustard sauce for the Korean palette as well, so take your friends along.
So there are now two kebab stores on the same street. Although I don't like the other guys kebabs (the one from the Turkish restaurant), I don't think he will go out of business. His kebabs are deliberately tailored to the Korean palette. And I think that sometimes 3 dark skinned Asian guys in the new van might be a bit intimidating for some late night Korean party goers!
For those who are not Korean, check these new guys out. They are very very good. I always buy 2. One for when I get home and one for when I wake up. They are great cold.
And the best thing, no more McDonalds sausage mcmuffins for me!
