I'll leave the thread here because is probably deserves one.

Has anyone been recently? is anyone prepared to give it another go.

I twas great for a while when that Pakistani guy was cooking, then there was the split with the woman leaving and opening up greater India (which I'm not a fan of) and I heard that Shabana was still open but serving up watery Korean style curries.

Perhaps Indian King can answer? is there a new chef? new menu? and what are the prices like.

For me I can't go past Ganga, even though it is a little on the pricey side.
Oscar
Went the other day. It re-defined bad Indian food for me. Perhaps the food is authentic but it bore absolutely no resemblance to the Indian food I've eaten in Australia and at restaurants like Ganga or the one out in Sasang (which may very well all serve a kind of westernised Indian food). For what the were the curries weren't disgusting, they were very watery (and I mean like water) but they did have some flavors and if they were 3,000 won I would probably go back but the servings were tiny and the quality seemed very poor and at ten dollars a pop I left feeling incredibly dissatisfied.

Any chance of getting a refund for the ridiculously sub-standard meal we ate there the other day? or perhaps a free meal when the new chef arrives?
tyster
I ate there a while back. The portions are indeed Lilliputian. I thought it was a precursor or appetizer or something that had been mistakenly given to us. Small doesn't even begin to define it. That should be the first thing addressed. It was an insulting portion for the price.

Hi,
How are you

Till I am in this restaurant I never ask any one to eat appetizer and more over if some one order then I always try to not give him(as we don't have exact appetizer).
and if you really was here may be you know about that any body else we not prefer Appetizer in our restaurant but if you never been here after me then I can not say any thing about that.

So if you have some other thing to say or point out then let me know I will be very great to hear from you cuz I am improving day by day by you and your friends Comments on Restaurant and I am learning a lot from that.
Thanking you

I don't think you're getting the point. The sizes are too small there. I hope you will fix that.

I'm not talking about the appetizers, I'm talking about the size of the main dishes.

its mean you are talking about quantity of food in dishes (not size of Dishes) (as I think so) So again may be you visit Shabana before 2nd July 2008 (not after that)
Oscar
I visited after July 2nd and the portions were terribly small. I could see the waiter looked embarrassed about the size of the portions because after we finished he offered to go back and top our bowls up with what seemed to be scraps.

Actually, I was there on July 3rd. Here's an idea. Go to Ganga. See what their sizes are like then look at yours. You'll understand.

That would definitely do the trick. Might even blow the owner`s mind. It will illuminate the differences between the restaurants with a brilliance so intense that goggles would be required.
tyster
Someone I know was there yesterday. Same old same old. Servings are too small. This is from a 46kg woman.

Best advice I have ever heard.

Seriously Indian King, your restaurant is way way way way under par. I still feel angry about eating there and paying $25 for the food I got, and it's not just the servings, the food it self was terrible, and I don't say that lightly.

Go to Ganga and you will see the type of quality that people foreign people expect when they are eating Indian food.

Ganga provides food that would be considered quality any where in the world. The food I had at Shabana is what I would expect to pay 20 cents for in a market in India, not $10.

I'm sure you do know what is real stuff, I'm just letting you know that what you consider 'real stuff' is not acceptable to the western palate at the prices you are charging.

As we've said, check out Ganga. I can't say if it is authentic or not, never having been to India, but I have eaten and enjoyed 'Indian food' in a number of countries and it is all, more or less, to the same standard (including the three main Indian restaurants in Pusan) your restaurant does not come even close to meeting that standard.

I live very close to Kyungsung university and I love Indian food and there is nothing I would love more than to have an affordable, quality Indian restaurant close by where I live but as it stands now I still get angry when I remember my visit and unless I from other people that you have taken this advice into account and have made vast improvements I'm sad to say I could never set foot in there again.

I think you need to go to ganga again by your self and check the price with tax again and then let me know and I am sure the taste here in my restaurant is enough good to be real Indian Stuff(North Indian) and after 10 days it will be better and I am trying to make just Indian food and every single person have his/her own taste So one can satisfied every one in the World, So next time when ever you have time visit me personally then let me know what do you like to have, more over if you dont want visit(as you mention in your answer) then it is up to you.
Please when ever you have time visit India if you like Indian Food and try to go Market to buy raw stuff may be you will find what is what So from now on don't compare price to other specially to India (cuz we are in Korea not in India) and again if you can eat food with in India with 20 cents then let me know that place) I think you need to visit India So please India once

Again you are welcome for the Advices.
