Well I thought there was a special thread dedicated to this kind of thing but could not find so I just starting it new. Moving it is fine with me as long as it is still visible. rolleyes.gif

Yes, a recipe I was trying last night for banana bread said one alternative to make it a little more moist and can be used if you do not have enough over-ripe bananas is to add some applesauce however I do not remember seeing it here. Has anyone else? I know that I could make my own but this requires more time and a food processor or blender would be neeeded. (I have considered purchasing something such as this or a juicer but do not have the space for anymore appliances.)

I've never seen applesauce here but I remember my grandmother making it and I don't think she didn't use a food processor or a blender. She used a potato masher.

Oh...and I'm moving this to food and eats smile.gif

Sadie,
Sorry that I forgot to reply to you on this, but tonight I was just making banana bread again so it reminded me. I did want to let you know that I am glad to know a little more about homemade applesauce. However, for the recipe I was just thinking it would be so much faster and easier using the canned.
