Finally got around to checking out a 'new' tuna sushi place in the Kyung Sung area last night. I think it's been there for about 6 months.
There were four of us, so we ordered the 20bucks a head deal, for which we got the following.
Started with the usual miso soup and salad with ginger dressing.
Next we got some nice pieces of tuna sushi with slices of futomaki (kimbap Japanese style) roll and a smaller roll.
Next we got the sashimi/회 which was very impressive, because it consisted of about 10 different cuts from different parts of the tuna. With at least 4 slices of sashimi per cut. So enough for one per person.
So we finished that, very satisfied...then they bought out a second platter! Same size, but included some different cuts from the fish.
Now extremely satisfied, plates continued to come! Next we received a smaller plate, with less cuts of the fish on, but more slices per person. Which they repeated again. It was finished with one of those loose hand rolled sushi roll cones.
So in all we had two large platters and two smaller, but substantial plates of sushi plus the extra trimmings. Washed down with several bottles of warm sake at 4000 won a bottle.
Superb food, excellent value.
There were also different options for set menus according to the size of the group, as well as an a la carte menu. Which appeared to include a tuna steak charred with a blow torch which looked yummy!
Directions. It's in the same area as most things foreign friendly.
Take Exit 3 at Kyung Sung subway. Go straight, take your first right at the end of the Century 21 Building.
Next you want to take your first left (By The Way, will be on your right). It's about 30 yards down that road on your left)
Name is Mi Ga Cham Chi (미가 참치) 622-8724
