Posting Policies
Welcome to the Koreabridge Forums.
Unlike other forums, ours are pre-moderated, which means that every post must get moderator approval before it can be viewed by others. Posts that fall within our guidelines will be approved quickly.

1. The "golden rule" is be civil. We will delete or edit any posts, user IDs, images, avatars or links that are hateful, obscene, slanderous, violent, abusive, trolling, baiting, insulting to an individual or group, threatening or harassing or that contain personal attacks, racial slurs, personal information about other posters, or discuss activities that are illegal in Korea. 'Spam' also isn't allowed.

2. The above rules also apply to PMs. If you receive a PM that violates the above policies, notify the moderators (forums@koreabridge.com) and we will take appropriate action. Also, PMs are considered to be just that: Private Messages. Don't post their content online.

3. Because of legal concerns and potential managerial headaches, The Koreabridge Network does not provide blacklist services. Posts that name schools or recruiters in a negative way will not be permitted. We do, however, maintain a list of links to Blacklists. You can find it here: http://koreabridge.com/classifieds/jobinfo.htm

4. Please refrain from cutting and pasting full articles from other sites around the internet. Providing a paragraph or two as a teaser is acceptable, but we would prefer if you would simply provide a link.

5. Please post in the correct Forum. We usually move posts around the board if they are more appropriate elsewhere. So, for example, if you post an Education topic in the Korea-Related Forum, it will be moved to the Education Section.

6. In principle, we don't allow advertising posts on the board. Feel free to use the Koreabridge Classifieds if you have an ad you'd like placed.

What the Moderators Do

Our goal is to get posts up as quickly as possible. All posts that fall within the Posting Rules and Guidelines are approved quickly. If a post or part of a post is unacceptable, it is either deleted or edited by a moderator. Editing posts is a service, not a right. We may choose to delete the entire post rather than edit it because editing is time consuming for the Moderating Team.

A final note on the Moderating Team

The Moderating Team is a group of people who have expressed an interest in helping maintain and moderate the Koreabridge Forums. Our goal is to encourage meaningful, interesting and civil discussion. We do not delete or edit posts that contain ideas we, as individuals, disagree with. We edit or delete posts that contain nastiness or other elements that degrade the quality of the board. 98% of what people write gets posted. 1% gets edited before it goes on the board and the other 1% gets deleted. The moderators put in a lot time and effort to get your posts up as quickly as possible, so please do a bit of self-moderating before you post.

If you have any feedback, concerns, suggestions, or any other comments, please contact us at forums@koreabridge.com or post on the board. Thank you for taking the time to read our policies and guidelines. We look forward to reading your posts in the future!
